Thank you for your contribution to the Social Media pages of Evergreen Parenting by supplying content to maintain the feed.

You committed to supply content for 3 or 5 Posts in both Afrikaans and English. 

Following are the information you will need to submit your Posts:

1. Topics

We have created a list of possible topics/themes and a folder for each. The idea is that you help us fill these folders with content in both Afrikaans and English (we have an Afrikaans and an English Facebook page.) The topics will be changed from time to time.

Please choose ONE of the current topics:

  • Children that are manipulating (focus on the different manipulation techniques, including accusations, moan to get his/her way, etc.)
  • Encourage parents with babies (encouragement; hope; development, etc.)

2. Criteria for the Post content

Please search for the following type of content on the chosen topic:

1. Quotes by Hettie Brittz or other famous people or authors.

    • Search quotes by authors that reflects our views.
    • Give credit by naming the author.
    • Name the source (book / blog / website)

2. Advice or Tips

  • Give funny tips about challenges with children.
  • Serious advice about challenges in parenting are also welcome.
  • Please make sure that the advice is in line with Evergreen principles.
  • Name the author. If you name yourself as the author  – make sure that you are not quoting Hettie :-).
  • Give advice on Christian parenting.
  • Please don’t quote Bible verses – unless you can make it practical with solid parenting advice or a prayer for parents.

3. Questions / Polls

  • Ask a question to encourage discussions / comments on important matters.
  • Combine it with a story or personal experience.
  • Don’t share personal details without permission.

4. Meme’s or funny images

  • Choose those with a more educational undertone.
  • No bad language, crude jokes or any content that might offend the audience, please.

5. Testimonials

  • Testimony from a parent that attended one of your courses (used with permission.)
  • Testimony of your own experience as a parent.

This process is to ensure that the person responsible for the feed to our Social Media pages, receives information from a central point in a format that involves the least time and/or effort to make your content ‘Facebook-ready.’
