VIDEO won’t play

Most of the online courses on this website contain videos that can be watched via streaming. In order to protect intellectual property, videos cannot be downloaded.

In the event that the video won’t play, please consider the following troubleshooting tips:

1. Our website works best with Chrome as your preferred internet browser. Sometimes the website will not display correctly on Safari, Firefox or Edge and some features might not work. Please ensure that you are browsing this website in Chrome on your computer or smart phone.

2. Refresh your browser. The system keeps a bookmark of your progress, but if you were inactive for a few hours it might be that an update on our side has been made. Refreshing the page tells the browser to go back to the server and see if there is anything new. Where is my refresh button? It is usually located to the left of the address bar. Pressing the F5 function key can act as a keyboard shortcut to refresh the Windows desktop screen.

3. A slow internet connection on your side would cause a video to take too long to load, or time out.

4. Depending on your personal device settings, these actions triggers the video to start playing:

  • click on the PLAY button in the centre of the video;
  • or just click anywhere on the video screen;
  • or double-click anywhere on the screen;
  • or click on the triangle shape bottom left of the screen.

The suggestions above is sufficient for most devices. However, if this didn’t do the trick, please consider the following:

1. Accepting our Cooky Policy will allow all the functions on the website to work properly. Click on the lock icon (image of a lock) in front of our internet address in your browser and ensure that our website is listed under your ‘allowed’ websites.

2. Clear your Cache:

  • Open Chrome.
  • On your browser toolbar, click on ‘More Tools’
  • In the “Clear browsing data” box, click the checkboxes for Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  • Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete.
  • Click Clear browsing data.
