Hettie Brittz recorded a video-course known as “The Parenting Garden.” There are three separate video courses – one for each age group. Schools in South Africa can now utilise this course content through the Evergreen@School Initiative.

A school that registers for the Sponsorship Program will purchase ONE subscription that will allow every parent and/or educator free access to ‘The Parenting Garden’ video content.

‘The Parenting Garden’ is a set of video-based courses on this website that inspire Christian child-rearing, share timeless principles and teach practical strategies and techniques for the home and classroom. There are three courses – one for each age group. It was developed by Hettie Brittz.

FAQ about the School SPONSORSHIP Program

  • The school will take out ONE subscription.
  • The Subscription fee is tiered according to the size of the school (amount of learners). Please refer to the pricing table above.
  • One subscription will grant access to all the parents and/or educators of the school.
  • The minimum subscription period is 3 months – cancel anytime after. Parents and educators will have access to the video-course for as long as the subscription is active.
  • For example, a pre-school with 25 learners will have a R350 per month subscription rate and the system will allow up to 50 parents/educators to self-enroll. The school will make a R350 payment on the website when placing the order – this will cover the first month’s subscription fee. 30 days later the system will automatically deduct R350, followed by another deduction a month later. Thereafter the school will have the option to cancel the subscription and end access, or continue with monthly deductions for as long as needed.
  • Feel free to request a quote if the above mentioned tiers does not apply to your school.
  • The school will place an order on this website to activate the group subscription.
  • The website uses PayFast as the payment gateway. PayFast offers several payment methods, including credit and cheque cards, instant EFT and QR Code apps (like Zapper, SnapScan, FNB, Capitec, etc.).
  • The first installment will be payable immediately and the following month’s subscription fee will automatically be processed 30 days later.
  • The minimum subscription period is 3 months – cancel anytime after.
  • The system will generate an invoice for your bookkeeping purposes.
  • We do suggest that you appoint a person responsible for this administrative task. (Let’s refer to this person as the Evergreen School Admin.) Don’t worry, the system is easy to learn and the task is not time-consuming. We provide step-by-step tutorial docs.
  • Once registered, the admin will gain access to a Dashboard on this website.
  • The group subscription has a certain number of ‘seats’ (based on the size of the school.) The system generates a unique sign-up link for this group. The admin will be able to invite parents/educators to take up a seat by forwarding this sign-up link. They self-enroll into ‘The Parenting Garden’ course by using the link that the Evergreen School Admin supplied.
  • While we provide templates for marketing materials, it is up to you to drive your own campaign and encourage parents and educators to enroll.
  • ‘The Parenting Garden‘ is a set of video-based courses on this website. The content is based on proven theories. It’s comprehensive yet focused on practical implementation and offers age-specific and temperament-specific info. Click here for more details about the topics covered.
  • There are three separate video courses, one for each age group. Tiny Trees is aimed at parents and educators at a pre-school. Tween Trees explores all there is to know about children in primary school, and Teen Trees covers everything about teenagers in secondary school.
  • Parents and educators will be able to watch the videos on a laptop, cell phone, tablet or computer via streaming. They would therefore need to be connected to the internet and have data for video streaming. The website is available 24/52/356 and every person can progress at their own pace.
  • Each video course has approximately 5 hours of video footage in total, consisting of several 4-10min clips, divided into modules and lessons to encourage parents and educators to work through the content in a meaningful manner.
  • Live Zoom Q&A sessions, known as “Tricky Questions with Lydia & Nanette” are hosted bi-weekly. Any parent on the “Parenting Garden” journey can book a seat.
  • The “Xtreme Make-Over School Edition” is a spin-off product to implement a discipline plan in schools, based on Evergreen’s principles on compassionate discipline. Customizable templates are available as well as workshops for educators.
  • Apart from “The Parenting Garden”, there are a wide variety of additional video-courses, podcasts and resources on the Evergreen Parenting website.
  • With the Sponsorship program the school will pay on behalf of parents and/or educators. (Details above).
  • With the Membership Program, parents/or educators will pay their own way, but receive discount.
  • With the Fundraising program the school can generate funds by receiving commission for every purchase the parent/educator makes.
