Payment Troubleshooting

Do you get error messages when trying to make a payment?

There might be hundreds of reasons why you struggled to make payment – ranging from internet connections, power failures, personal computer security settings and your bank card’s 3D secure settings. A single transaction goes through about eight stages involving systems all over the country. A glitch of a quarter of a second in any stage can influence the process.

We suggest that you wait 30 min and then try making payment again:

  • Return to our website making sure that you have logged out of your previous session. Refresh and login again with your username and password. Click on the shopping cart icon – you will find that the content of your shopping cart is still there. Click on ‘proceed to checkout’ and make payment.
  • You could try accessing our website from a different device and follow the process suggested above.
  • Lastly you might consider choosing a different payment option on the PayFast portal. The most popular options are VISA Credit & Cheque card OR Instant EFT. Both are safe ways to make payment.
  • If your card is declined, even though you do have available funds, it might be that your card is not activated for online shopping. Please contact your bank.
