Question 2 of 11
2. Question
What building block of healthy authority is described?
We have to believe in the ability of love not only to embrace a child but also to shape a child. We should never see love as the opposite of discipline or authority. Love is the foundation of and the highest requirement for authority. Conditional love will lead to conditional respect from our children. Only if we can love them – even when they do wrong – will they be able to respect us even when they are not enjoying the demands of our authority. Hettie Brittz

Question 3 of 11
3. Question
What building block does this refer to?
“In Luke 10:17-20, we read about the authority Jesus gave his disciples to drive out demons and move on Satan’s terrain without getting hurt. In Mark 16:17, Jesus promises all believers the same authority over the spiritual world. We have a new status based on Jesus’ victory over evil – He now calls us kings, priests and prophets. Parents really neglect this aspect of their authority. We have the authority to drive evil from our homes, to expel wicked influences from our children’s lives, and to lay our hands on our children and bless them with a blessing that will surely cause them to be blessed.” Hettie Brittz
